Dead Kings - Twenty Ten

Before their recent tour, Dead Kings announced that their first vocalist Damo was leaving the band.
After his last show they revealed his replacement, Zaca Duncalfe (Center).

Zaca was previously the singer of Vices for Virtue, and also sings in a new band Promises.
Taken a little while ago, still using my 400D, 430ex shoot through umbrella in front above camera, 430ex directly behind.

Dead Kings - Damo's last show

 

I Exist. To celebrate Damo's last show, Jake made himself a custom microphone.

The disadvantage of shooting shows with off camera strobes, is that they only cover a certain area, so when someone in the band decides to get into the crowd, something that should make for interesting photos, you get sub par lighting. I end up just raising the ISO and hoping for the best.

Dead Kings - Blacktown and Goulburn

In Blacktown Dead Kings played at the Blacktown Masonic Hall, it was basically a school classroom.

It was at this show that Rohan decided to start doing punk jumps.

The Goulburn show was the most fun of all these dates, there was a smoke machine that we got to play with while the bands were on.
